Firstly a massive thank you to everyone who attended last night’s event.
We want to address what happened and speak honestly with you.

Due to severe, unexpected ferry delays affecting all three touring bands, their arrival into the UK was pushed back significantly. While we moved doors from 6pm to 8pm and communicated the expected late start, the delays continued far beyond what anyone, including the bands’ own team anticipated.

Despite the challenges, the three bands and all involved were determined to perform and the full show did go ahead, even though it started much later than planned.
We completely understand the frustration this caused, especially for those who waited many hours with very little certainty about timings.

We did inform ticket holders initially with a curfew of 12:30am but then a further update was announced to say this is going to be a late one due to further delays! This was relayed by ourselves, TicketWeb and Drowning Pool’s /Spineshanks socials.

Due to the weather and unforeseen traffic issues, the bands and crew were doing everything possible to make the show happen. By that point in the evening, cancelling would have been an even bigger disappointment after all the travelling, all the hard work, and with our amazing customers already in the venue whom without your support, these shows simply wouldn’t be possible.

We kept the doors at 8pm so customers had the option to come down and enjoy a few tunes and stay out of the rain, also the timings were still uncertain. We are really sorry we couldn’t do more updating everyone it was massively challenging.

We will definitely be reviewing how we handle these unexpected issues to ensure we can do better in the future.

We sincerely apologise for the experience not meeting the standard we always aim to deliver.

Thank you to everyone who helped and stuck with us on an incredibly challenging night.

Really don't know how much more you could do/have done - sounds like you adapted as best you could in the circumstances. Well done. There will always be people put out - sadly - by their accommodation & travel arrangements, but when lining up so many ducks sometimes adaptation in one way can set feathers flying in other ways. Keep doing what you do, and well done for still putting on the show. TDmH

Damned if you do, damned if you don't in a situation like this...

If you know Keith (Nightrain owner) like I do then you would know a man who is incredibly passionate about the venue, his staff and most importantly his customers. He's been in bands and so has seen both sides of the industry. He would never knowingly upset or disrespect anyone that didn't deserve it. Sounds like a nightmare of a situation. Well done to those that stayed on to see the bands and the Nightrain staff who battled through. And huge respect to the bands that turned up to play after a horrendous journey. Venues like this need our continued support. Shit happens sometimes and last night was clearly an unprecedented situation. Much love to all concerned 🤘

We stuck it out, but the communication to us could have much been better , keeping is updated by a few announcements from the stage for example. Like “they have arrived and this is what is going to happen next” etc. That may have resulted in more staying and more revenue for the bands. Thank you to the crew, nightrain staff and the bands for pushing on. Most would have cut and run straight away. Most of all to the drivers I hope they are well looked after.

You could only do your best in the circumstances, having been many times the Nightrain runs like a well oiled machine

Shit happens sometimes and you have to deal with it the best way you can. If anyone remembers Trash in Bradford, I once attended a gig there where the headline band didn't start until 11.45pm!!

An immensely challenging night for a venue that has consistently delivered since its inception. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, if we all had it we’d never make a mistake and never get the opportunity to reflect and learn. I think context of course is important and not to overgeneralise given the consistency of service and entertainment that the venue has provided over the years. Huge credit to all the Nightrain crew who did their upmost to keep people happy. Onwards and upwards! 🤘🤘🚂❤️

Can we just be grateful that this venue week in week out works hard to bring us alternative music in this area because without them there would be no alt scene in Bradford so the chance of seeing these bands wouldn’t even exist I’m 100% sure the bands and venue had no way intended last night to play out like it did it was just a string of unfortunate circumstances that no one could have predicted I had an incredible night and I guess I was lucky enough to notice them setting up spineshanks drum kit towards the end of drowning pool so I knew they were still performing.

I’m confused. I’ve seen one person say Spineshank didn’t play, and another say they did. I know HED PE played….

The bands when they came on were phenomenal and kudos to them and to the staff for persevering. I'm one of the lucky ones who got to stay till the end, but people who had babysitters to get back for, car parks that closed at 1. It was known what time they would arrive (I knew because a friend knew what time they were due in Bradford) and I feel some announcements would have been more appropriate. However, that the gig even went ahead is great! Seeing spineshank play was awesome and I did have a good night despite everything. Tired today mind.

Sometime events beyond everyone's control conspire to scupper the best laid plans. While it's frustrating, as long as everyone is kept informed of the situation that's the best that you can do. People can then make any informed choice whether to hang on or go.

When things are out of your control you try to do the best for everyone. I am sure most have had issues on the past with bands canceling and weather issues all out of the venues control. At least the bands played all be it later in the night. Well done to the staff and management for keeping the people updated as much as they could and staff as always going that extra mile. No one can stop the weather or the issues on the roads. As they say the show must go on.

Personally I think kudos should be given to all parties, venue, bands and fans. Yesterday was an absolutely nightmare weather wise and for the show to go on (albeit very late) in full then everyone should be applauded. Certainly a gig that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

Whatever you did it would have led to criticism. Who could have guessed this even a few days ago?

Im not sure how any venue could have prepared for what happened last night. From what I saw, communication through the day was clear and concise from all parties involved. Massive hats off for not cancelling the show.

People did well getting into the city full stop. Both train stations were out of action with 2 separate trees on the line and the buses were all over the place. If U were there U were one of the lucky ones!

I feel like refunds might be difficult at this point considering the bands technically did play and the gig went ahead. I imagine all the bands got paid as if they would have done had it started when it should have, in which case I dont know what the refund policy would be for that. As much as I'm pretty gutted I spent £30 to stand around for hours and not see any bands (we had to leave due to the car park closing), I also don't want to see Nightrain take a massive hit by paying the outgoings they likely still had to as well as any refunds. I know people are saying they're glad it wasn't cancelled, but I feel had it been, the majority of people would have at least been happy to know exactly what was happening and also more likely to receive a refund later. I imagine not cancelling would have been even more stressful for everyone involved, and that's including customers, staff, promoters, bands, etc.

Hope everyone had an awesome time at a once in a life time 3AM spineshank show or so I’ve heard.

Despite everything I still had an awesome night, the tunes kept everyone having a good time and when the show finally got underway it was worth it i did have to call it a night around the 3am point the crew at nightrain really are legends its why im there so often 🤘 props to everyone who kept the night going

I didn't even go because I didn't have tickets but in my opinion it was all handled amazingly by all parties!

We had an incredible night. You guys did an amazing job under the circumstances. So many factors beyond anyone’s control. Shit happens and sometimes you’ve just go to make the most of it. That’s what we all did and it was a legendary evening 👌 you all need bloody medals x

No issues with what happened I get that - these things happen. However the situation with the timing made it impossible for me to attend. I would like to think there is the option for a re-fund?

things happen, you guys did the best you could under the circumstances and that’s all anyone can ask for 🫶🏼

Well done to Nightrain and the staff for keeping the night going under circumstances not in there control . To those who stayed hope you had a fantastic night. Keep Rockin Nightrain.

Things like this happen, unexpectedly ,unavoidable and totally out of anyone's hands, people need to be more understanding , glad everyone is OK and the show went ahead in the end

Doors WILL open AT 8pm — we’ll have the tunes loud and the place buzzing. Unfortunately we can’t give any exact stage times at the minute but the bands are on route and doing everything in their power to get here as soon as possible. This show WILL happen!

Once they hit the stage, it’s all-out carnage.

This is taking the absolute piss now. Just bin it and give people refunds

Quick question, why can’t (Hed)Pe start until Drowning Pool arrive?

LET THE REFUND HIT MY BANK LET THE REFUND HIT MY BANK LET THE REFUND HIT MY BANK LET THE REFUND HIT MY..... BBBBAAAAAAAAANNNNNNKKKK

As admirable as it is to want to keep the show on at any cost, surely there's a point of no return where it becomes too late to go ahead?

Cmon! Some of us are old .

Tbf im jealous! A metal show in the early hours of the morning sounds incredible 🤣 i wish I was there.

Are Spineshank still playing? 🥲

2 tickets goin spare in odsal anybody?

Didn't even turn up lol.

Walked out. Spoke to one of the band members in the toilet who was saying they were still on the bus. Just dragging on and on.

I adore this venue and have supported it since day 1. The weather and other factors have conspired against you tonight but you've dropped the ball in the way it's been handled and communicated to people. Fair play for trying to put on a show but sometimes you just have to call it. Ive spoken to a few first timers at Nightrain tonight and they won't be coming back. It's really quite concerning if you can't take a step back and see this because it's all common sense.

Nightrain So what is the process for people wanting refunds who have had to leave?

Sounds like I dodged a bullet with that

The fact these guys are still fighting to keep the show on is amazing after all this! Hope you all have the best night

Giving updates is always appreciated 🤘

Good to see 11.15 sail by...

Any updates on stage times guys?

Got to say I went last night with my husband and two sons and we genuinely had an amazing night. Luckily none of us had to work today so we stuck it out and we’d parked at Foster square so we just extended parking on the Ringo app. We knew we could have been there waiting for a while so we just enjoyed the music and chatted with some amazing people. We love Nightrain and all the staff, and we couldn’t praise them enough for sticking it out for all of us. We left at nearly 4am, absolutely buzzing. A night to remember so thankyou to the staff, the bands and their crews. 🖤

Well we are here for it. Moved the car and am not moving again til the pits open

Erm do you have bands on your gig ?….

Any update like?

Any news?

Is this happening?

What time did the band come on

Sounds like a pro night. Nightrain till 3:45. Man I want that every week.

🔥 TONIGHT’S SHOW – IMPORTANT UPDATE 🔥

As many of you may have seen from the band’s post, DROWNING POOL, SPINESHANK AND HED.P.E have had major travel delays getting into the UK after their ferry from Ireland was diverted due to weather.

The good news: THE SHOW IS 100% STILL HAPPENING! 🤘
But because of the knock-on delay, doors will now be at 𝟖:𝟎𝟎𝐩𝐦 and the show will run later than originally planned — we’re now expecting to wrap up around one hour after the original schedule so planned finish time is now 12:30am.

Huge thanks to everyone for your patience, and massive respect to the bands and crew who are doing everything humanly possible to make tonight work. ❤️

We promise it’s going to be a killer night once they hit the stage 🤘🏻

Gosh! That sounds stressful, hope everyone is all ok! Ace they’ve not pulled it and are making it work: (Selfishly a later time is better for me to get to after work etc!)

I had a message from the venue about 10 mins ago to say a guitarist from HED is 50 minutes away from the venue and that’s what they’re waiting for.

What’s the latest? I saw the video of a tour bus showing up but did any of the bands actually play?

Looks like it’s gunna be a late one Kato Djin. Can’t wait though 🤘

2 tickets goin spare in odsal.

Kudos for all the effort despite set backs! Can't wait to see all bands later 😄

There is another update please can we have some times

Anyone need a ticket, face value price?

Luke Johnson going well past my bedtime now

Anyone selling a ticket at all ?

Any tickets available for this?

Will be well worth it..saw them in Newcastle and none of the bands disappointed. Have an awesome time to everyone going 🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼

Cant wait 🤘🤘

Can't wait for it! See everyone there. Seen drowing pool and hed pe so many times over the years but cant wait to live the early 00s with some spineshank!
