Fans of motorhead, the almighty and early maiden will immediately connect with this trio from the bowels of stoke-on-trent
Kieron 'K' Berry on Guitar and Vocals, Marcus 'The Frequency of Indecency' Wrench on Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals and Bobby 'The Power and The Glory' Ansell on Drums make up the Power Trio from Stoke-on-Trent that is Bang Bang Firecracker.
BANG BANG FIRECRACKER started out as an inspired solo project conceived by guitarist Kieron ‘K’ Berry, after being on tour with Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P founder and guitarist) in 2017. Kieron comments; “I grew up in awe of this guy and his fellow Hell Raisers. He was intense as hell and talking about all the new music he was creating… I started writing again very soon after – the songs flowed, and I’ll forever be in debt to Chris Holmes for essentially kicking my Ass!”
For the recording of the debut album, Welcome To The Slaughterhouse, Kieron took the lead on guitar and vocals, recruiting old friends including Marcus Wrench (Bassist) to handle the rest of the instrumentation. Following on from their success and experience, BANG BANG FIRECRACKER began its transition from song-writing project into a fully-fledged band, amassing a cohesive sound that would please the Gods of Rock.
Kieron and Marcus set out on an 18 month journey of discovery, originally taking the album on the road as a 4 piece. After various collaborations they would soon find Bob Ansell (Drums), the missing piece of the jigsaw and with that, their chemistry together was locked in. Their musical alliance was organic so it felt natural and right to continue on as a solid 3 piece.
Before Welcome To the Slaughterhouse was released, Kieron’s inspiration for writing was relentless. The thrilling riffs and indulgent solos lead the way through an iterative song writing process with the lyrical motivation driven by personal experience and world events. Always active and creating, BANG BANG FIRECRACKER have continued to produce new works concluding the recording of their second 'Evil' album in 2022.
Like many bands BANG BANG FIRECRACKER had a big year planned out for 2020. Following the release of their debut album 'Welcome to the Slaughterhouse’, the lockdown put the music industry firmly on its arse. In the face of losing the gig scene, BANG BANG FIRECRACKER were challenged to put out their music and video content differently. This bore the concept for the second album See Evil, Hear Evil, Speak Evil with 3 separate EP’s released in phases, to provide a more frequent supply of new material for their fan base and maintain a greater online presence.
